In this lecture Dr. Walker will address the topic of bioethics and the Christian life, exploring how ordinary Christians can live faithfully as they navigate the many bioethical questions confronting them today, including those surrounding AI, IVF, genetic engineering, and transhumanism. In a world experiencing rapid advancements in medical technology, how can we continue to uphold human dignity and affirm Christian morality?

Andrew T. Walker, Ph.D., is Dean of the School of Theology and Professor of Christian Ethics and Public Theology at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Walker is a Fellow at the Ethics and Public Policy Center and serves as the founding Managing Editor of WORLD Opinions.
He also co-hosts a weekly podcast, The Bully Pulpit, that explores the intersections of faith, culture, and politics from a Christian and conservative worldview. He is the author or editor of ten books on Christian ethics and public theology. His analysis has been published or cited in outlets such as The New York Times, National Review, POLITICO, The Daily Wire, The Wall Street Journal, The Atlantic, Los Angeles Times, and many others.
He is currently pursuing additional graduate studies in bioethics at Harvard University. He resides in Louisville, Kentucky, with his wife and three daughters. He serves on the preaching team his local church. You can follow him on X: @AndrewTWalker.

This month Dr. John Wilsey will be with us to share his wisdom on the topic of American Exceptionalism, US and Christian History. Dr. John Wilsey is a Professor of Church History and Philosophy and Chair of the Department of Church History and Historical Theology at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Dr. Wilsey’s research specialization is in the History of American Religious Nationalism, and American Conservatism.
